Our Story & Leadership
Davidzo Foundation (2022/639501/08) was established in August 2022 as a non-profit company (NPC) operating in South Africa. We are a proud member of the Alliance For Women And Girls (AFWAG).
Our Mission
Our mission is to engage, support and empower adolescent girls, young women, and mothers through targeted efforts that address both their immediate and long-term needs.
Our Vision
Our vision is to empower adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) in South Africa with tools, resources and support they need to realise their full potential.
Background
The organisation was co-founded by four black, female directors with a public health background and a passion for working with young people.
Our key focus is empowerment of adolescent girls and young women from historically disadvantaged backgrounds across South Africa.
Our organisation partners with other local NPCs as an entry/access point to engage with young women from surrounding communities.
